When we are talking about buying Tiffany lamp shades we are normally talking about Tiffany style lamp shades – you see the real ones are far too precious to be used in a normal house with all the rough and tumble that goes on.

There were relatively few Tiffany stained glass lamp shades made (as these were made by craftsmen rather than machines) and very few of them have survived. This means that they command multi-million dollar prices when they come up at auction. Don’t expect to find a real one on eBay any time soon!

You should be able to find reproduction Tiffany style lamps fairly easily as they are quite popular and many of the quality reproductions are almost as beautiful as the real thing.  They particularly suit period-style homes and those with traditional furnishings.
