In terms of cross over boards for mountainboarding and kiteboarding very few come close to the Comp 90. This board is good at both but in the same light not perfect for either. It is an advanced level board featuring MBS’ super tough construction and top components. With a 90cm deck length it is nice and short for kiteboarding, but a little on the short side for mountainboarding (unless you are pretty short). The shortness of the deck helps make it pretty stiff.
The trucks are neither channel trucks which are ideal for downhill riding, or skate style trucks which are great for kiteboarding. Instead a hybrid patent pending design called the Vector is used. This combines the lightness of the skate truck with the stability of the channel truck.
Ratchet bindings, lightweight hubs and tyres complete the package to make a great all round board which is very popular. Find out more about the MBS Comp 90.
