Getting some of that old American charm in your home somehow revolves around time spent in the living room or den, everyone in a group, spending time talking and entertaining. This is what memories are made of, time spent enjoying the company of others. I didn’t grow up in the times of the first radio and all that, but my family had a wall clock that is stuck in my memory banks. We had it hung above a chair rail, near the door.
Today, wall clocks still give me that warm and fuzzy feeling of community. Each time I enter a home or office that has a nice clock, whether it is an antique wall clock or not, it brings me a sense of peace. I don’t know about you, but if wall clocks can do this, then maybe they are something worth keeping around. Even with all the new ways we can tell time, having that old wood clock up on the wall stills makes a home warmer.
