There are some folks who get very into the idea of Halloween and dressing up. This year, I noticed a lot of people were getting very into the whole 70′s fancy dress idea. Dressing up as your favorite 70′s personality is a bit of a nostalgic look back for those who were growing up at the time. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary to those of us who had no prior life experience, but looking back, there were some outrageous fashion ideas going on during that decade. People wearing shiny satin outfits to work would probably not fly during modern times without a few comments. In the 70′s though, it seemed that the more attention you could draw to yourself, the better. Of course I guess it was known as the “me” generation though, wasn’t it?
