I think when most people search for canopy bedding they are probably looking for the actual canopy that they can hang down off their four poster bed, but when I was searching I was actually looking for the bed linens themselves, like duvet covers and sheets, that would suit my canopy bed. That experience bought to mind the fact that often people don’t take enough consideration of the the design of their bedding. Too often they think it’s enough to buy a beautiful bed and leave it at that. Well I don’t think that’s even half the job done. I would say that the different linens you put on your bed each week are more important than the bed itself. It’s the bedding that really draws the eye and actually sets off the bed. If you’re not going to take a lot of time considering the sheets and duvets then you’re almost better off with a bog standard bed. At least then your bedding won’t look out of place.
