I’ve been trying to clear up my memories of the 1970′s lately. It isn’t that I was part of the drug culture. I was actually pretty young back then. I’m just trying to decide how many of my memories are true and how many came from watching retrospectives on television. I know that not everyone walked around wearing 70′s disco outfits. I just remember dressing like an average kid in jeans and a t shirt.
I think the over the top nature of the newly emerging disco influence really got burned into my brain when my sister would drive me around in her car and make me listen to her latest favorite disco tunes. Although I was young, I did recognize that there was a disco sucks movement. Alas, it wasn’t strong enough to stop it before the eighties happened.
