If you are looking to buy some hockey gear, there are usually a few local hockey shops to choose from and they are the place to start if you need something to fit just right. For example, the local hockey shop is the best place to buy hockey skates because you can try on five or sic pairs to choose the ones that fit best for you. My local shop also did the heat molding and the first year of sharpening for free. I even took my skates back in about 3 months after I was using them to get them punched out and they did that for free too.
Other the other hand, some items can be found at online hockey stores at a much cheaper price. If it is an item that is generic in size, shape and fit then it might pay to go online.
