Stay Organized with a Lanyard

If you’re anything like the average person, chances are you have your pants pockets stuffed with small items. These items might include keys, a cell phone, or an identification badge. While having all these items at your disposal is extremely important, it becomes a task to try and keep them organized. Wallets and purses might be the solution for some people, but for others, they are unnecessary things to always be toting around.

One answer to this problem comes in the form of a lanyard. When most people think about lanyards, they automatically picture an id card lanyard used in the workplace. This type of lanyard normally has an alligator clip used to attach the lanyard to a plastic badge holder. While this works well in the business setting, an alligator clip doesn’t lend itself to other types of items that you may want to carry. Fortunately, there are other attachments available for lanyards.

In the case of carrying and organizing keys, there is the split ring attachment available. This accessory is exactly like a key ring, but it’s attached to the end of a lanyard for easy access to your keys. The split ring also works well for small items that are designed to be used with a key ring. For example, many computer flash or zip drives have small slots punched out on the device. This is done so that the zip drive can be attached to a split ring.

Another option that is available is the cell phone lanyard attachment. This attachment is designed so that it is capable of breaking away from the lanyard in case you receive a call. The breakaway portion is often a clip that comes undone when pressure is applied to both sides. This allows the user to get at their phone quickly and have free range when talking. Without the breakaway clip, the phone would stay attached to the lanyard, making it uncomfortable when chatting.

With any of these options, you’ll be able to reduce the number of items in your pockets and improve organization. Considering the low cost of a lanyard, it’s a nice, simple solution that won’t set you back much money-wise.
