“My Cycle” and Other Features of the Current IQ-Touch Electrolux Washing Machines

One major issue of some older or cheap washing machine models is the lack of real customization for each potential user. It is entirely plausible that each person living in a typical household will have different washing needs, so it is quite surprising that appliance companies haven’t capitalized on this fact. If you are like me, you are used to the standard controls: Water temperature, wash intensity, and maybe a few other bells and whistles if you pay a premium. However, over all of these years not one of these features really broke the mold of what was typically expected in washers and dryers.

Enter the current line of IQ-Touch Electroloux washing machines, a refreshing entry into a market that was growing ever more stale by the year. Thanks to the “My Cycle” feature, the customization that people have been clamoring for all these years is finally a reality. This feature allows each member of the family to dial in precise settings, all the way down to typical load size, temperature preference, and special considerations for clothing materials. You can easily imagine an athletic member of the family needing settings which cater to stubborn grass stains while another member might need gentler settings that are ideal for high quality clothing.

These Electrolux washers feature more than just IQ-Touch, though. One fantastic feature that many customer reviews are praising the reversible door. This gets around the age old issue of trying to find the perfect space for a front loading washer. Obviously, a top loading washer is going to be a little more flexible in terms of placement because it doesn’t rely on a door that swings out, potentially running into the surrounding environment and causing damage. To get around this annoying issue with front loaders, Electrolux now allows the user to simply reverse the angle at which the door swings out by changing the hinge from one side to another!

Lastly, it’s important to note that the latest Electrolux units are extremely eco-friendly, providing wash cycles that are specifically tailored to the efficient use of water. I see many complaints online about some products that claim to be environmentally conscious; specifically, these people were upset that not enough water was used in eco-friendly wash cycles. Out of all of the comparable products, however, the Electrolux continually came up as the clear winner. This is a huge step for a company that used to be associated with bad quality!
