Basement Floor Construction

by

in Home and Furnishings

Many people avoid using their basement area because they don’t like the cold cement of the basement floor. There are now ways to help reduce the cold that comes with having cement as the flooring in the basement. A lot of floor and tile stores carry self stick floor tiles that can be applied to a cement floor. They add some color and warmth to the otherwise damp and chilly surface.

There are also several styles of cement paint you can purchase to add color to the floor. These paints can come with a high gloss epoxy finish so the area will look like a showroom floor. You can then add an area room size carpet to create a more inviting feel to your basement.
