There are so many people who fail to recognize the importance of phone etiquette. Since mobile phones are widely used, manner-less users are also everywhere. You don’t have to graduate from the university just to know how to use the cell phone properly. Please, if you do not have four legs, learn how to use your phone as how a human being is supposed to. Make your designer shoes and bag work for you!
First thing you must remember is to never take a samsung sync phone call while you are in a meeting. A business meeting, that is. Your boss is doing his job training and providing you with enough room for professional growth, do not slap him with your slackness and ingratitude receiving a call during an important conversation. You shall neither do this even if you were meeting with your co-workers or subordinates. Your being at par or above them does not give you the license to be unprofessional and unethical. During a business meeting, make sure that your cell phone is turned off or at least in mute mode. When you feel it vibrating, attend to it after the meeting. When persistent, excuse yourself and go somewhere private where you can take the call. Another thing you must not do is talk loudly over the phone when in public. Please, do not tell everyone your story. Do not force them to listen to a business which is none of their own. Maintain at least a ten-foot distance from people when you have to take a call and make sure that you speak at an average voice. When you have to argue or be emotional, fight the urge. Do not make a commotion by sobbing or shrieking at the mouthpiece which has definitely not done you any wrong.
Lastly, talking on cell phones while in a library, museum, theater, or church is a big no-no. Avoid being a disturbance in a rather quiet place which requires concentration. If you can not do this, then better stay away from these places and spare others of the agony.
