You’ve decided your career will never take flight with those big butterfly wings spread across your boobs. Thanks to laser tattoo removal, you won’t have to make a habit of covering up like a nun to advance in your field.
The laser treatment is painful. A topical anesthetic and/or an injection of local anesthetic can be used. The procedure itself, however, is very quick, just a few minutes. Depending on the type of laser used, the location of the tattoo, and the reaction of your skin, the area may be covered in antibiotic cream or you may be told to ice it for half an hour. On average, 6 to 8 sessions, spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart, will be needed to remove the tattoo.
With the lasers available today, most every tattoo can be completely erased. But the success and how many sessions it will take depends on many factors including the type of ink, the amount of it, how deep it is in your skin, how new it is, its size and so on.
