My husband and I were hoping to sell our house quickly this year. We soon realized we didn’t have enough for a down payment for our next home so we took it off the market only after a month. We didn’t think we would do well putting our house on the market anyways since economy is doing poorly and it’s a buyers market. Although people told us at least we could get a good deal on our next home even if we don’t get the current price we ask on our current home. When we did put our home on the market, two other homes also went up for sale. So there were other houses we had to compete with too. After some consideration, we have decided to wait until the market improves a bit more.
