The United States of America welcomed Hawaii as its fiftieth state on August 21, 1959. Composed of a chain of picturesque islands, Hawaii is found in the Pacific. You’ve probably seen images of just how incredible the scenery and views of Hawaii are. This beautiful landscape is the reason why so many people are moving to Hawaii and the tourists are so plentiful.
The capital of the island chain is Honolulu, which is found on the island of Oahu. Based on current census information, Hawaii has roughly 1,300,000 regular inhabitants.
A volcanic chain formed these islands across a central, 1500-mile expanse of the Pacific Ocean, and is made of a large number of actual islands. The eight ‘main’ landmasses are positioned at the southeast part of the archipelago. These islands are called Maui, Hawaii, Lanai, Kahoolawe, Moloka, Niihau, Oahu and Kauai. The largest island is Hawaii Island itself, which is usually called the ‘Big Island’ so that it is disambiguated and distinguished from the whole island chain.
