When our kitchen remodelling was finished earlier this year, I was particularly happy with the lighting design that my electrician (Norman) had created. It always amazes me how the correct use of light can transform a room, and how bad a room can look if you get this point wrong. Norm has used a large number of LED spot lights to pick out the feature points in the kitchen such as the appliances, the work station and the cabinets. The lights can all be controlled individually from a very tricky control panel that has been installed in one of the cabinets. Once the panel has been set you can leave it, and just use the switch to turn the lights on or off – one of the great things though is you can change the lighting design whenever you want.
