Investing Stocks Does Not Need To Be A Gamble

Some people think of investing in the stock market as gambling.  They would rather save their money in low interest savings account than to take a chance of investing in stocks.  During this recession, this is understandable due to the correction of the markets but history has shown that the stocks always bounce back.  Moreover, putting money in savings accounts will not keep up with the rate of inflation.   If you want to have a comfortable retirement, you really need to invest in the stock market for their higher returns.  However, in order to make good investment decisions, one has to research the companies they are interested in.   While even Warren Buffett stocks are not all winners, you can minimize losses by understanding the business of the company.  If it makes sense to you and the shares are trading at fair value, then go ahead and buy.  If it is a business in which you know nothing about, take a pass.

Investing really doesn’t not need to be a crap shoot if you know what you are doing.  In fact, the more you research, the more the odds are in your favor to come out a winner.
