When we purchased our new home, we went over it with a fine tooth comb to make sure that everything was exactly as we wanted it to be. Both my husband and I are very detailed in our approach to buying things, so we were obviously fairly obsessive about such a large purchase. As thorough as we were, however, we both knew that there would be something that we missed. Overall, we are extremely happy with our home, it is a great place to live and in a great neighbourhood. We are looking forward to raising our kids here.
We did miss something though, and it turned out to be the windows. Not the style, or the strength of them, we checked all that out quite thoroughly. What we forgot to take into consideration was the size and shape of the windows. As it turns out, they are almost all irregular sizes, which means that none of our curtains are going to fit on them. This means that we are going to have to buy a new made to measure curtain for every single window in the house, which is going to cost us a lot of money that we don’t have.
