Too many times I have seen people taking the exact wrong approach to designing their home. One of the biggest rules in home décor is that if it’s big, it’s going to draw attention. In most houses, the biggest item is your window curtains, and these are the things that need to be given a lot of thought when planning the look of your room. You can either make use of the fact that it is a focal point in your home and try and make it as attractive as possible, or you can play it down and try and get it it to blend in with the rest of your décor.
If you have the rest of your room already set up, and you need to get your curtains to match the rest of your décor, then you have a harder job ahead of you than someone who starts with their curtains and works out from there. All is not lost, however, if you can’t find anything to match in the shops, you could always consider a custom made window treatment instead.
