Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is a type of male cosmetic surgery that is done to restore the appearance of youth to the eyes. In this procedure, both the upper and lower eyelids are tightened up, and any stretched skin or fatty tissue is removed. This procedure is done only to the eyelids, but it may be done as part of a facelift operation to rejuvenate the whole face. For example a common addition is a brow lift, which can help with sagging and wrinkles. There are some minimal post-op effects with this procedure, and stitches will need to stay in for up to a week. There is often some minor bruising and swelling, that is generally gone after a few weeks. Alternative non surgical options are to use radiofrequency treatments to tighten the skin above the eye.
