I couldn’t believe it when I read this story. An employee of Randalls Food Store was fired after he helped a customer who had just had her purse snatched while standing at the Deli Counter. This 15 year old boy snatches her purse and takes off through the door. The employee runs after him and follows him through a field and to an apartment complex. This is while the customer is calling 911 and getting help. The Police arrive and arrest the kid and the women offers him money as a reward for getting her purse back. He refuses.
Then Randalls goes and meets with the guy. A few days later, the call him up and fire him over the phone. Just like that. They said they have a policy that prevents employees from chasing crooks!
