I have a friend called Tom who is always on the look out for the next get rich quick scheme. Instead of looking for a proper job or actually getting some decent qualifications, so he can do something interesting with his life, he sits around waiting for money to fall into his lap. His latest brainwave, that he’s seen on the internet, is to work from home stuffing envelopes! Now I really don’t know what is sadder. The fact that my friend actually believes there’s any money to be made from stuffing envelopes or that he thinks that this would be a respectable and happy way to earn an income. You can tell he’s never had a proper job because anyone who has knows that no one gets paid anymore for work like that, it’s all mechanized!
